The Festival proceedings shall be under the management of
the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto Committee.
All matters not covered in these rules shall be referred to the CCC Music
Festival Committee, whose decisions on such matters shall be final and binding.
In case of any unforeseeable events, the CCC Music Festival Committee reserves
the right to postpone, cancel, or change the venue of the Festival.
The administration fee will not be refunded.
Eligibility
No age limits will be imposed except where
indicated. Age is as of January 1st, 2012.
Entries
A fully completed Registration Form must be received by
January 9, 2012, accompanied by a cheque or credit card payment for entry fees. Entry fees are non-refundable. Competition schedule will be emailed to entrants and their teachers at
the beginning of February, 2012. If entrants don't hear from the committee regarding competition schedule by February 6, 2012,

Contestants may enter only once in each class. However,
contestants may enter as many different classes as he/she wishes.
Contestants may enter only one age level for Age Achievement Classes and Concerto Classes
Neither special scheduling requests nor any changes will be considered.
The CCC Music Festival Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.
Competition Pieces
Competition pieces for all classes (except for Artist Division, Age
Achievement Classes and Concerto Classes) must be chosen from the current Royal
Conservatory of Music Syllabus or the equivalent with the prior approval from RCM.
Any entry not eligible for the class, or any piece which is not fully described
on the entry form may not be accepted.
Competition pieces chosen for Artist Division, Age Achievement Classes and
Concerto Classes need not to be chosen from the Royal Conservatory Syllabus.
Contestants must perform the piece(s) as stated on their entry form.
Contestants must supply the original music for the adjudicator.
No photocopies of the music will be accepted.
A competition piece cannot be performed
for more than one class.
Competition pieces are expected to be performed from memory. Competition pieces
are to be performed without repeats (with the exception of Da Capo).
Programme Procedures
Contestants must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to his/her scheduled class.
Contestants must dress semi formal.
The adjudicator may, at his/her discretion, interrupt a performance
when his/her assessment has been finalized.
The decision of the adjudicator must be accepted as final.
Rehearsing on location is not permitted.
Any complaints must be in writing and sent to a member of the
CCC Music Festival Committee within 48 hours of awarding certificates.
Classes may be divided or combined at the discretion of the
CCC Music Festival Committee.
Flash photography, Audio and/or Video recording is strictly prohibited during
sessions. All cell phones and pagers must be turned off during sessions. No food/drink
is permitted in the performance hall.
Other than members of the Organizing Committee, no contestant, parent or member
of public may converse with the adjudicators during the competition.
Awards
Each contestant will receive adjudication with mark assigned. Certificates for 1st, 2nd &
3rd places will be issued at the time of competition.
Winners from each class will receive a coupon to exchange for a complimentary ticket to
attend the Gala Concert and Award Ceremony.
Trophies will be awarded to First Prize winners and medals
will be awarded to Second/Third Prize winners at the Award Ceremony on April 7, 2012. Winners should be present at the Award
ceremony to receive his/her prize.
Contestant may be asked to perform at the Gala Concert and only play the piece selected by CCC Committee.
