Application Procedures
Submission Deadline: all applications and support documents must be postmarked on or before June,30, 2010.
Applications can be submitted in one of the two ways:

Online at www.cccpianocompetitions.org

By registered mail, UPS, FedEx, or DHL.
Application information and form can be downloaded from www.cccpianocompetitions.org or requested from the Competition Office, contact: lorraine.wu@cccpianocompetitions.org
Audition DVD must be sent by registered mail, UPS, FedEx, or DHL and must bepostmarked on or before June 30, 2010.
Colour Photos and Biography are preferred to be sent electronically (lorraine.wu@cccpianocompetitions.org). If necessary, these documents can be sent with Audition DVD. They must be postmarked on or before June 30, 2010.
Application Process:

Age of Applicants: No older than 35 years old as of November 8, 2010.

No Fax submission. No CDs and cassette tapes.

Applications must be typewritten or clearly printed in English.
If submitting application online, the following supporting documents can be sent electronically:
Current Biography of approximately 300 words as Word file.
One (1) colour photograph (headshot) sent as 300 dpi JPEG file.
One (1) proof of age document (photocopy of birth certificate, driver's licence, passport, etc.)

Non-refundable application fee (100 US dollars), after conversion and bank fees, payable to Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto. Payment can be in one of the following formats:
Credit card (MasterCard or Visa only and subject to 5% surcharge)
Name of Credit Card Issuer
Cardholder Name
Credit Card Number
Expiration Date
CVV Code (3-digit code on back of card)
Billing Address on monthly statement
Names of senders of two (2) letters of recommendations (optional).

Audition DVD

Non-refundable application fee (100 US dollars), after conversion and bank fees, payable to Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto. Payment can be in one of the following formats:
Cheque from a Canada-affiliated bank made payable to Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto
Money order made payable to Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto
Wire Transfer (details refer to 4/d)
Credit Card (details refer to 4/d)
Current Biography of approximately 300 words and one (1) colour photograph (headshot), if not submitted electronically
Proof of age (photocopy of birth certificate, driver's license, passport, etc
Two letters of recommendation (optional)
AUDITION DVD specifications:
Recorded only to DVD.

Camera angle must remain unchanged and applicant's face and hands have to be clearly visible throughout recording
DVD must not be edited
Recorded after June 30, 2009
Must include at least two (2) compositions of applicant's own choice. The length of the recorded performance can be minimum twenty (20) minutes to maximum sixty (60) minutes. Solo performance only.
Properly marked DVD and its cover:
Name of applicant
Title, number, movements, composer and exact length of each composition, and order of performance on Audition DVD
Date of recording
Review the DVD before sending to guarantee the quality of the recording.
The committee will notify each applicant via email when receiving his/her application.
Applications will be reviewed by the Artistic Committee of CCC Toronto International Piano Competition. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
All application materials belong to competition committee. CCC Toronto International Piano Competition is not responsible for lost DVDs or documents.
All applicants will receive notification on acceptance/non-acceptance status by August 15, 2010. The formal letters of invitation to all accepted contestants will be sent out by August 15, 2010. The letter may serve as supporting documents for foreign contestants to obtain visa to enter Canada. The competition package will be sent out to accepted applicants by mid September, 2010. The package contains information on travel, competition schedules, and accommodation.
