Adam Piotr Zukiewicz

Jun Asai Adam Piotr Zukiewicz is a soloist and chamber musician of great integrity. He has been praised for his "impressive technical proficiency and delicate refinement" (Indiana Daily Student) as well as "an ability to immerse himself full force into what is essentially a showpiece and make a listener believe he believes in it."(Herald Times)

Maintaining an active international career Mr. Zukiewicz will be returning to his native Poland this summer to perform several recitals of Chopin's music. Further musical projects for 2010 include participation in international piano competitions in America and Europe.

Mr. Zukiewicz has performed across Europe, United States and Canada. His performance during the 2007 Millennium Stage Conservatory Project at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC was broadcast online. He has also appeared many times on TV in Poland. In Canada, Mr. Zukiewicz has recently performed in the Krzysztof Penderecki Festival at the University of Toronto. His most recent performance took him to Jawor, Poland where with the Max Joseph Trio, he participated in Peace Concerts Series organized by the Museum of the city of Jawor.

Mr. Zukiewicz holds a Masters of Music degree from Indiana University and is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Musical Arts program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, studying with Marietta Orlov. His previous teachers include: James Parker, Arnaldo Cohen, Ian Fountain, Vanessa Latarche, Dario de Rosa, Alberto Miodini and Pawel Zawadzki.

In his own words:

I am into different kinds of foods and sports, especially soccer

I think that piano competitions are wonderful opportunities for musicians to meet with the audience and check where we stand in comparison to others. It is a good experience.

My goal in life and as a musician is to become the most I can in every positive way.
